Trisodium phosphate disrupts cytoplasmic as well as outer membranes of Salmonella enterica cells and hence prevents the spread of bacteria.[2] Further, it is corrosion inhibitor for iron and inhibits the rate of the anodic iron dissolution reaction in unbuffered solutions.[3] |
