Zinc chloride in combination with 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride comprises a molten salt, which is employed in the electrodeposition studies of zinc.[1] Zinc chloride is a colorless white compound composed of zinc and chlorine, which can be used as a flux for soldering.[2] Application Zinc chloride may be employed as catalyst in Knoevenagel condensation of carbonyl compounds with active methylene group containing reagents.[3] It may be used in preparation of porous carbon nanofibers, useful in the fabrication of efficient electrodes for supercapacitors.[4] It may be used as catalyst in the preparation of poly(propylene fumarate).[5] |
