DESCRIPTION
General description
λ-Cyhalothrin is a type II highly active synthetic pyrethroid insecticide which contains a-cyano group.[1]
Application
λ-Cyhalothrin is used as an internal standard for the determination of esfenvalerate from water by capillary gas chromatography with electron capture detection.[2]
It may also be used as a pesticide reference standard for the determination of the analyte:
- In virgin olive oil[3] and cotton[4] by gas chromatography (GC) with electron-capture detection.
- In leafy vegetables by gas chromatography coupled with an ion trap mass spectrometry detection system (GC–ITMS).[5]
