cytiva SV30078.01 HyClone™ Amphotericin B (Fungizone) Solution (50 mL) is a sterile, filtered liquid antifungal agent with a concentration of 250 µg/mL, used to prevent fungal, yeast, and mold contamination in cell cultures.

An antifungal, anti-yeast and anti-mold reagent.
- An antibiotic agent that is active against fungi
- Interferes with the permeability of the cell membrane of sensitive fungi by binding sterols
- Common working concentration is 2.5 μg/mL, and it is cytotoxic at 30 μg/mL

Used as an antifungal, anti-yeast and anti-mold agent.

Technical Specifications
Mechanism of Action: It binds to sterols in the cell membrane of susceptible fungi, disrupting membrane permeability
Usage Concentration: The recommended general working concentration for cell cultures is 2.5 µg/mL
Cytotoxic Limit: Care should be taken to avoid overdose; it is toxic to cells at concentrations of 30 µg/mL and above
