Overview	This Spectroquant® Chlorine dioxide test allows the accurate quantification in various waters. As one of several oxides of chlorine, it is a potent and useful oxidizing agent used in water treatment and in bleaching. In weakly acidic solution chlorine dioxide reacts with dipropyl-p-phenylenediamine (DPD) to form a red-violet dye that is determined photometrically. Chlorine is masked prior to the color reaction. The method is analogous to APHA 4500-ClO2 D and DIN 38408-5. All our Cell and Reagent Test Kits are equipped with the unique Live ID which allows seamless method recognition and contains essential information such as lot number, expiry date, and automatic calibration updates. The Spectroquant® Reagent Test Kits contain highly stable, ready-to-use reagent mixtures to perform the analysis according to the procedure described in the accompanying instruction leaflet.
